United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County positively impacts children and families in the Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha counties by investing in 220-plus programs at over 110 agency program partners. United Way partners with business, education, government, faith-based and nonprofit organizations to work toward common community goals – income, education and health – ultimately resulting in a better quality of life for all.
The painting is about the connections of all people around the three pillars of the United Way’s mission: education, income and health. Featured on the trees are images that symbolize the pillars – a laurel, a golden acorn and the Rod of Asclepius. The foreground setting is Waukesha County’s Kettle Moraine landscape with Milwaukee’s skyline on the horizon.
