As an artist, printmaker, photography and retired art professor, Nancy is an authority on water-based serigraphy, a type of screen printing. Since 1981, she has shared her techniques with other artists, printmakers and educators. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions, including the National Gallery of American Art at the Smithsonian, the National Academy of Design in New York, Chicago Art Institute, Portland Art Museum and more. She has earned several awards in printmaking, photography and digital art.
Where is your favorite place to go for inspiration?
One of my favorite places to go for inspiration is the library. Travel is a great inspiration – taking in other countries and cultures. And being in nature is also very inspirational.
What do you hope people will feel when they see your work?
I hope that they will come away intrigued, curious, stimulated, challenged and inspired.
